Certifications

JEM maintains manufacturing facilities in two locations. The corporate headquarters is in Franklin, Massachusetts, and a second facility is located in Tijuana, Mexico. Both of the facilities have been certified to meet the standards of ISO 9001:2008 :

JEM has also achieved its Medical ISO 13485:2003 certification in January of 2010:

In order to manufacture military cable assemblies for the U.S. goverment, JEM maintains its ITAR certification with the U.S. Department of State.  JEM renewed its 2010-2011 ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) certification earlier this year.  Any person who engages in the business of either manufacturing or exporting defense articles or furnishing defense services is required to be ITAR registered.  To learn more about ITAR, you can visit the U.S. Department of State's website at www.pmddtc.state.gov. 

 

Furthermore, JEM has been registered by UL and CSA to manufacture product meeting the UL/CSA safety requirements.  To ensure that a high standard of workmanship and quality is maintained, JEM trains and certifies its personnel to the latest IPC standard (IPC-A-620).  We also are a member of the WHMA, the Wiring Harness Manufacturer’s Association.
