RF Cable Assemblies

JEM Electronics manufactures custom RF cable assemblies to customer specifications. Our many years of experience in manufacturing RF cable assemblies has enabled us to develop a broad knowledge of coaxial cable preparation, assembly, and test. Our experience and process knowledge is evident in the quality of every cable assembly we ship.

 

The proper preparation and assembly of components is critical to the electrical and mechanical functions of the assembly. To ensure reliability and repeatability of process, we have developed manufacturing processes for RF cables by utilizing automated equipment whenever possible. Our processes provide consistent, high-levels of quality.

 

To ensure that a high standard of workmanship and quality is maintained, JEM trains and certifies its personnel to the latest IPC standard (IPC-A-620).  All RF cable assemblies are visually inspected to the workmanship requirements of the IPC standard.  JEM utilizes hipot testing to verify the reliability of a wire’s insulation when it is subjected to a high voltage.  JEM performs hipot testing up to 30 KV.  The equipment we use for hipot testing ensures good isolation between the parts of a circuit, guaranteeing the safety and quality of all electrical circuits we manufacture.  Our machines have built-in insulation resistance testers and provide the latest in technology and safety features.  In addition, after the cable assemblies are subjected to hipot testing, all cable assemblies are 100% tested for continuity and isolation.
