Soldering

Many custom cable assembly and wire harness assembly terminations require hand soldering. The reliability of these connections is based on the solder joint workmanship and quality. To ensure that a high standard of solder workmanship and quality is maintained, these types of connections are performed only by highly trained technicians. These soldering technicians and solder inspectors are trained and certified to the latest IPC standard (IPC-A-620) to ensure the quality and reliability of the product.

JEM Electronics also performs tinning to assure that a wire being soldered has a uniform and readily solderable surface.  The process of tinning should leave a smooth coating of solder and the outline of the strands should be visible. JEM Electronics’ tinning technicians and inspectors also are trained and certified to the latest IPC standard (IPC-A-620) to ensure the quality and reliability of the product.
